A WEEK IN POLAND

From the 18th. to the 23rd. of May, eleven 3rd.  E.S.O. students travelled to Poland thanks to the Comenius Project started last year.

They were in a village called Lazy and they stayed in host famílies. They had to speak English all the time amb enjoyed practising it.

The students said that their “Polish fanilies” treated them as kings and queens.
During the week they visited the most interesting places of that region.
Theu travelled to Cracow, the previous capital of Poland. It is wonderful!  Their guide said that  Cracow is possibly the most beautiful city in Poland.

The following day they were received by the Mayor and the Education Director of Lazy.

They visited the Medieval Castle in Podzameze built on enormous rocks  and enjoyed the tour of the “Castle at Night” with the ghosts appearing amd disappearing everywhere.

They had dinner in front of the castle amd tasted a traditional Polish barbecue.

They  also visited the “Bread House” in Radzonków  and learned interesting stories about old cars in teh  “Old Car Club”, and in the “Silver Mine” in Tarnowskie Góry, where they walked and went canoeing in a river under the ground. The water was very cold!

Now they can be proud of themselves because they are really good English speakers.
All of them felt that a week there was extremly short and they would have stayed there for months.  Polish and Catalan students promised to keep in contact by facebook.
This has been an incredible experience for them and they came back home with hundreds of things to explain to their famílies and friends.
